Welcome to my world...

As a romance author, people either think I'm just this side of crazy, or totally understand that I have voices arguing in my head. I'm not really worried because they are characters from my current works-in-progress...and if not, they soon will be!

I'm delighted to be finishing up the last book in my first series with Sourcebooks: The Secret Life of Cowboys. Why, you ask? Because Sourcebooks has asked for a Small Town USA series! Moving to this new series makes perfect sense when you realize that most of the stories I've written involve a small town or community. Whether it be in the 11th Century, early 19th Century, or the present day, the dynamic is so very similar: tight knit communities with similar elements: the local gossip, trouble-makers (in my contemporaries/evil-doers (in my historicals), threats to the community or people in the community, and let's not forget the all important romance between my main hero and heroine that must survive a number of tests and circumstances that threaten their new-found love.

Although I live in the wilds of North Jersey, my ancestors lived in a castle in Tipperary, Ireland. Check out my Books Pages to see Loughmoe Castle. I use family names in most, if not all, of my stories and draw character traits from ancestors and dearly loved relatives who have passed through the veil. Happy Reading!
